This study aims to identify the challenges faced by student teachers during their practical training in the Department of Education. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 27 students during the Spring 2015–2016 semester. The instrument included 30 items, validated by experts and showing high reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.98). The findings revealed that the most significant problems included: lack of educational resources in schools, low confidence from school administrations, conflicting supervisor feedback, limited supervisory time, overcrowded classrooms, weak coordination between schools and the faculty, classroom management difficulties, and insufficient support from schoolteachers. Lesser challenges included unstable class schedules, limited transportation for female students, infrequent or delayed supervisor visits, and minimal observation opportunities. The study recommends addressing these issues to enhance the effectiveness of practical teacher training.
