About the Journal

The Faculty of Arts Journal – Misurata University is a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually by the Faculty of Arts at Misurata University, Libya. The journal is dedicated to publishing original, high-quality scholarly research in the humanities, social sciences, and linguistics, and welcomes contributions from researchers in Libya and around the world.

The journal seeks to advance knowledge, encourage interdisciplinary research, and provide an international platform for scholarly communication while maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, editorial integrity, and publication ethics.

Mission

Objectives

The journal aims to:

Publishing Model

The journal follows a Diamond Open Access publishing model, ensuring that all published content is freely available immediately upon publication without subscription or access fees.

Beginning with Issue 19 (January 2025), all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, permitting use, sharing, adaptation, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source.

Authors retain full copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right of first, non-exclusive publication.

The journal does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, peer review, or publication (No APCs). All publication costs are fully funded by Misurata University in support of equitable open-access scholarly publishing.

The journal is committed to responsible and transparent scholarly publishing. Information regarding the ethical use and disclosure of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in manuscript preparation and scientific research is provided in the journal's Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in Scientific Research.

Research Integrity

Authors are required to disclose:

Sources of financial or institutional support;
