الملخص

يظل تحقيق النطق الجيد أحد أكثر التحديات لمتعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية، لا سيما عندما يختلف عدد و نوع الصوائت في اللغة الأم للمتعلمين بشكل كبير عن نظيره في اللغة المستهدفة، وتبحث هذه الدراسة التشخيصية الوصفية في قياس إدراك ونطق اثني عشر صوت علة أحادي الصوت في اللغة الإنجليزية من قِبل 40 طالبًا جامعيًا في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية بكلية الآداب و التربية في جامعة صبراتة، ليبيا، وقد قامت الدراسة بالبحث في مدى قدرة الطلاب على تمييز أحاديات الصوت الإنجليزية، ومدى دقتهم في تحديد هذه الأصوات المتحركة ضمن سياقات صوتية محكومة ومعزولة، وكذلك قياس أنماط الارتباك والاستبدال عند استخدامهم نظام الأصوات المتحركة في اللغة الإنجليزية وذلك من خلال أداة تشخيصية مُصمَّمة خصيصًا لهذا الغرض و تتألف من جزئين: مهمة تمييز سمعي قائمة على الاختيار الإجباري، ومهمة قراءة ونطق منضبطة تربط الرموز الصوتية بالكلمات في سياقات صوتية محكومة تم تضمينها في كلمات تحتوي على صوامت بسيطة، وتُظهر النتائج أن الطلاب قاموا بتمييز ونطق معظم الأصوات المتحركة الطويلة بدقة عالية، ولكنهم فيما يخص أصوات العلة القصيرة والمركزية وبعض الأصوات الطويلة الغير مألوفة في العربية، كان أداؤهم قريبًا من مستوى التخمين العشوائي في الإدراك، وبمعدلات خطأ كبير في نطق معظم هذه الأصوات المتحركة، هذا وتدعم النتائج التركيز على ضرورة دمج التدريب الصوتي  والمبني على الإدراك.
