This chapter explores the close relationship between translation and various text types, focusing on the translator's core tasks and the functions of different texts. It classifies texts based on their content and purpose and discusses their translation from Newmark’s perspective. The chapter also emphasizes the importance of understanding the source text and highlights the role of dictionaries as valuable tools for translators. It concludes with a detailed explanation of back translation as one of the methods used in the translation process.
