"The Migration of Libyan Youth Abroad – Causes and Consequences: A Field Study on a Sample of Libyan Youth Migrants Outside Libya"

Abstract

The immigration is a social phenomenon has been formed with human existence during ages, the history witnessed  many human immigrations which contributed to find out cultural diversity between civilizations also contributed to build and develop societies, but the their motives is not economical or financial, there are countless reasons of immigration most youths immigrate for such reasons as:  wars, natural disasters and political and religious conflicts, therefore the aim of this study is to find out the meaning of youth immigration phenomenon abroad , the reasons and the human motives to immigrate, also the social and economic reasons and effects which created by immigration?.

     This study has been applied to a sample of 20 young men of males immigrated abroad, this questionnaire has been relied upon as a main method to collect information about this study.

    This study has summarized in important items, there are many social and financial reasons as a main motives push the youth to immigrate abroad like the desire to get a job, to improve financial situation and insure his future and his family’s future, to form his personality and develop his culture by using the advantage of modern teaching aids existed in the countries that have been immigrated to, in addition to that the government is not interested of native citizen of  youth category of their abilities, skills and developing it.

     Furthermore, there are many effects of immigration  on society as follows, the lack of scientific competencies within the society and detraction of the possibility of developing the society, the Lack of productive elements in society and a decline in the level of production, and disintegration of family relations of a migrant, leaving the habits and traditions that raised on them in his.
