Cultural identity is a fundamental pillar in shaping the character of societies, rooted in their historical and social heritage. Culture drives individuals’ behaviors and aspirations toward progress. This study aimed to explore youth attitudes toward preserving cultural identity amidst globalization and their views on the globalized ideas stemming from Western cultures. The findings indicate that while globalization is difficult to resist, it poses significant risks to cultural identity. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a balanced approach that embraces globalization without compromising cultural uniqueness. The study also revealed diverse youth perspectives on the future of identity—ranging from optimism to pessimism—with the majority rejecting cultural isolation and advocating for thoughtful openness.
