This study aims to highlight epistemology as the foundational framework for all scientific and intellectual inquiry, and as an essential gateway to understanding both the human being and the world. The research addresses key epistemological questions such as: What is knowledge? What can we know? And how do we come to know what we know? Using an analytical and historical methodology, the study traces the development of epistemological thought from ancient Greek philosophy to contemporary perspectives. It argues that epistemology is not merely a branch of philosophy but the cornerstone of all sciences and the primary tool through which humans distinguish between truth and illusion, right and wrong. The significance of the topic lies in its central role in the progress of civilizations and the advancement of human understanding, making epistemic clarity a prerequisite for rigorous scientific thinking.
