This study aimed to examine the attitudes and perspectives of civil society members and volunteers in Misrata, Libya, regarding women's participation and leadership in civil society organizations. By integrating a theoretical framework based on relevant literature with empirical research involving a sample of 245 participants, the study identified statistically significant differences in respondents' views based on demographic factors such as gender, age, educational level, occupation, and monthly income. However, no significant differences were found concerning years of experience. The findings suggest that support for women's leadership, their level of involvement, and perceptions about the current effectiveness of civil society organizations vary according to these demographic factors, highlighting the need for targeted awareness and capacity-building initiatives within the sector.
