This study explores the ongoing debate surrounding the concept of civil society, addressing key theoretical issues such as the multiplicity of terms used to describe it, its relationship with adjacent or overlapping concepts, and the controversy over its components and institutional boundaries. It also examines the historical development of civil society and the diverse ideological and theoretical perspectives that seek to interpret it. The research aims to approach the concept analytically and interpretively, ultimately presenting several important conclusions that contribute to a clearer understanding of civil society’s nature, structure, and theoretical framework.
