This study examined the impact of new media use on family cohesion among university students, analyzing statistical differences based on age, gender, place of residence, and educational level. Falling within the framework of descriptive-analytical research, the study employed a survey method with a sample of 200 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of two main axes: patterns and motivations of new media use, and new media and psychological compatibility. Results indicated that excessive use of new media significantly affects family relationships, especially in terms of increasing social isolation, as many students became addicted and neglected family responsibilities. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences based on place of residence and educational level, while no significant differences were found regarding age or gender.
